Lt. Col. (Retd) Pradeep Kumar Karki served 27 years in the Nepalese Army before his retirement. He is fluent in Nepali, English and Hindi languages. Apart from various courses in Nepal he has successfully participated in the Planning & Development training conducted by the Nepal Administrative College. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He also holds a Master degree in Military Strategy from Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College from Malaysia. He has commanded an independent company and a battalion as well.

His experience in the mountaineering field is highlighted below:

  1. Pioneer in Mountaineering in Nepal Army
  2. Summiteer of Mt. Annapurna III (7535 m)
  3. Co-leader of Nepal-Italy joint expedition in Mt. Everest 1980 (Autumn)
  4. Skiing and climbing course in Italy in 1979
  5. 10 Years of continuous travelling with more than 100+groups in Tibet with altitude covering from 3000m to 5500m
  6. High altitude basic and advanced training in Nepal with outstanding results
  7. Expert and experienced in Altitude Planning, Operation and Rescue
  8. Travelled all over 77 districts of Nepal
