Search & Rescue

Nepal is a country of magnificence for travellers from all walks of life and from around the globe whether they seek spiritual upliftment, family tours, business tours or adventure tours and daredevils seeking extreme thrills attempting activities like white water rafting, trekking, climbing, skydiving, etc.

Moreover, the country's geographical terrain is particularly interesting to adventure lovers at large as it increasingly lures these thrill seekers from around the world who come here to quench their thirst for a thrill. However, sometimes various calamities may obstruct the endeavors of these trekkers and climbers which may proliferate in the form of Acute Mountain Sickness, various injuries from fall, HACE (High Altitude Cerebral Edema), HAPE (High Altitude Pulmonary Edema) amongst other conditions requiring immediate medical attention.

Alpine Rescue Service has been directly as well as indirectly involved in carrying out Search and Rescue of stranded travellers in various parts of Nepal for the last 2 decades. Moreover, in the last 5 years of time frame, various incidents in Nepal have occurred such as the Avalanche in the mountains, snow storms, the 25 April 2015 Earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 rectares. ARS played a pivotal role during such times of crisis and was able to bring about a tremendous impact on the scenario. This was only possible due to the continuing expertise that ARS professionals have developed through ongoing experience in such circumstances.

ARS is proud to have saved and continues to save the family members or friends of travellers from around the globe and once they are out of the danger zone, it brings a smile on the faces of the whole Alpine Rescue Team - a job well done.

ARS is a commercial organisation, however, even when sufficient funds are not available or coverage not declared for a medical evacuation assistance, ARS can still provide proper information and guidance.
